City Lights (The Moth's Song)

plaintive and simple

City lights
Pretty lights
Hurt your eyes
They shine so bright
In the morning
Where do I go?

People stare
They don't care
It's just a face
And I'm only wearing it
'Good Morning'
Now where do I go?

I'm not a banker or a politician
I don't need your helping hand
Stay away from me all you social workers
You don't understand

City lights
Pretty lights
One more drink
Will see me right
Till the morning
What do I know?
But in the morning
Where do I go?
